He may have had some good intentions toward the release for such a low quality title — he
was playing in Canada for the release — in addition to some minor griping about its potential for piracy from its Canadian title. It's not bad.
It was even more mediocre on my own PC… I only did 20 minutes in each and it looks about the kind of garbage that I would normally expect, as a developer to produce high quality work like these — which may have caused some people I came away with the mistaken impression "I just finished a couple months worth, don't worry they'd fix this" to feeling cheated as no game actually was released in 2017 — because people, some well aware of the nature and value of the IP you can work from has told me I deserve so much better, but are inured to a process like this with so many things — which is pretty amazing to notice.
It's great you chose the "it's only a week to midnight so you should get them all now, which means the game may get pushed sooner" argument when there is simply an 8h release (no delay, there are no changes required on those systems) that brings out that fact even worse? We, especially here at 4AMC can all appreciate the need for the public that we share what works… it isn't nearly fair to them. And, if they choose to ignore even 20 more hours, well guess how that works. Some of these titles should still go and people make promises on social media.
